Notification Systems
The MiCase Consortium released an RFP to select a Parent Notification/Alert System for use by MiCase member districts. Four vendor products were researched and compared. After review by the study committee, we chose to recommend two products for use by our member districts. We found that the Honeywell Instant Alert System was the lowest cost system and was already in use by a good number of MiCase member districts. However, we were very impressed with the features and functionality of the Synrevoice School Connects system, which was slightly more expensive.
Pricing for the Systems is as follows:
Honeywell Instant Alert -$1.75 per student annual cost with a 3 year commitment. If you are already part of an existing consortium and are paying more than $1.75, you are eligible to have your cost reduced to this level. An informational brochure on Honeywell Instant Alert is available here.
